Our new Head of International Business Development

We are happy to announce that Kathy Weidman has joined the company as Head of International Business Development. Ms. Weidman will oversee business development efforts to expand media press’ presence with international media companies. She will also assist in the development of key strategies for expanding media-press’ presence around the world. Ms. Weidman will be based in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area.

Kathy Weidman’s experience

Ms. Weidman joins media press group with extensive international experience with media and entertainment service and technology companies as well as a strong understanding of the metadata needs of customers. She has a proven track record of leadership in driving innovation and is considered a thought leader the metadata field. She has led the design and implementation of growth strategies across diverse media product and service companies. Ms. Weidman has been a Strategy Advisor at MoonBeam Partners Limited, where she served as executive consultant for several  media services, media and entertainment and digital media companies. Prior to MoonBeam, Ms. Weidman was the Senior Vice President and General Manager at TiVo, Inc. and she also served as Managing Director of Content Discovery and Metadata for Red Bee Media Limited, now a subsidiary of Ericsson. Ms. Weidman has also held leadership roles at Technicolor and Avid Technology. She has served as a Board member for several companies, most recently as a board member for Project Twenty1, a non-profit company that is dedicated to educate, promote, inspire and connect young creative talent through film training and programs. Ms. Weidman earned her MBA from Babson College and her bachelor’s degree in both economics and business administration from Eastern Connecticut State University where she was awarded a fellowship.
