The Hubert System is our own complete one-stop, multichannel publishing solution for managing descriptive data. Here at Media Press, we are constantly developing our products to meet all the expectations of customers and users. The year 2021 is no exception! One of our main advantages is that we work on the program ourselves, which we also offer to our clients, so we know how we can improve it to make working on it a pure pleasure.
CONTENT SELECTOR ever more user-friendly
Content Selector is the core application within our Phoboss DAM (Digital Asset Management) and of course our Hubert System. It gives you the great opportunity to organize your vast database by data linking, data matching, rubric selection, photo uploading and much more.
A user-friendly interface is what we pay special attention to. In order to speed up the work of editors, we have made many changes that will ensure that everyday use will not cause problems.
In our previous actions, we made it possible to run the configured actions from the Content Selector, which initiated the need for a place where it would be possible to show feedback from the system on the status of job processing.
Because of that, we decided to create a special widget to track the execution status of given processes.
1. Date and time of creating the action
2. Action name
3. The state of a given job
4. There are additional options under the right button where you can see more details about the job
Content Selector enables extensive filtering and scheduling of information related to changes in individual records while offering the greatest possible transparency of the panel.
We have introduced advanced filtering by components such as type, mode, author, field or time range of the creation. To make the usage even more pleasant, we have included 4 additional widgets in the “Media” submenu, and among them, we can choose:
View – Showing detailed data on the selected photo,
Edit – Allows you to edit information related to the selected photo,
Tags – Ability to add tags to a specific photo,
Visual Content – Preparation of photo frames
To facilitate the work of editors, the function icons in the Photos tab have been moved to the lower right corner.
This way, all buttons for changing the display, selection and settings are in one place. The introduced improvement is true editors’ work optimization!
Also, we’ve added an “equals” mode in search which finds records where term value = a given string (with accuracy to lower / upper case and national characters).
By typing “Smith Family” you will find:
-
The Smith Family
-
The Smith family
-
the smith family
It’s all about a flexible layout!
In order to make a visual improvement of matching records, we have illustrated the accuracy of the record match. In the matching column in Content Selector, the score is presented by the appropriate background colour in the checkbox. For example, green signifies score = 1.
What is better than a clean and modern interface that uses colours to segment data?
RANGE SELECTORS – a new approach to the timeline
Our development towards non-TV projects has resulted in the appearance of collections of objects related to a given scheme in our system, which are related to the timeline in some way. This collection is called the Range Selector and you can use it to define how certain objects will be related to the timeline.
This way you can easily find what you are looking for, specify the exact time period, or go back to historical documents.
PHOBOSS DAM and its advanced logic of photo selection
Obviously, we have developed our Phoboss DAM as well! It’s a great database of photos, where you can find the photo, you are interested in with one click and describe it carefully. All photos are not only in perfect HD quality but are also carefully linked and tagged with a detailed description of what is in the photo. It is worth emphasizing that everything is available in all languages of the world.
In the Phoboss DAM advanced filtering, you have the option of individual configuration of individual selection parameters, such as
KEYWORDS FILTERS
It allows you to define photo filtering using specific keywords as well as specific values assigned to a given keyword – the list may contain many separate filter definitions.
SELECTORS
The tab allows you to define any number of selectors, each of which can be used in the photo selection process. The panel enables an extensive selection of parameters from the list related to image categories, language information, keywords and image sizes.
AREA SETS
The tab allows you to define any number of sets of areas from which photos will be selected and to set a default set of areas.
LEVELS
It allows you to define on which level the logic will use which selectors. We can define many levels to which we can add selectors at will.
